Performing at Home with Pittsburgh Opera!
I am so excited to announce that I will be performing in my hometown of Pittsburgh this upcoming season as the Witch in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel at Pittsburgh Opera! Performances are on Saturday, November 3 at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be on-sale soon at pittsburghopera.org. Meyerbeer's Le Prophète Recording Now On-Sale!
I'm excited to announce that a recording of our production of Meyerbeer's Le prophète with the Essen Philharmonic at the Aalto Music Theatre in April 2017 is now on-sale! I sang the role of Fidès, alongside my colleagues John Osborn and Lynnette Tapia. It is the first recording based on the new edition of Meyerbeer's principal work so is a particularly noteworthy release.
I am so grateful to be able to spend some time at home in Pittsburgh this Christmas season and to get to share in the spirit of the season with others. On Friday, December 1, I was part of the annual fund drive for WQED, Pittsburgh's classical music radio station. It was a wonderful experience to be part of continuing the vibrant tradition of classical music in the area!
On Saturday, December 9th, I'll head to the Allegheny County Jail for a performance for the inmates there. The holiday season is a perfect time to give back to the community, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to bring my music to those who are incarcerated there and hopefully brighten their spirits this season.

Women of Spirit® Benefit Concert
I had the distinct pleasure of performing in the Women of Spirit® Benefit Concert on November 3rd at Carnegie Music Hall in support of scholarships for Carlow University students. I was so honored to be named a Women of Spirit® in 2016, and was touched to learn that there will be a Women of Spirit Leadership Scholarship in my name now, offering $50,000 to full-time undergraduate students with financial need, and a record of academic excellence, community service through volunteerism, and leadership skills!
National Anthem at the Pirates Game!
It was a thrill to sing the National Anthem beside my friends and colleagues John Osborn, Lynnette Tapia and Kevin Glavin at the Pirates game on September 5th as they went on to a win against the Chicago Cubs! A special surprise treat was getting to meet the owner of the Pirates, Bob Nutting, down on the field!
A HUGE thank you to all of my friends and family who came out to support the support the Neurofibramatosis Clinic Association (NFCA) and cheer my niece MaryKate on!
Appearance on Pittsburgh Today
While recently home in Pittsburgh, I was able to perform on Pittsburgh Today Live singing "At the River" and talking about the upcoming Women of Spirit® Benefit Concert on November 3rd at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Music Hall, which supports scholarships for Carlow University students. It gives me great joy to be able to give back to the community in this way and I can't wait for the upcoming concert!

September 5th at the Pittsburgh Pirates! I'll be singing the National Anthem at the Pittsburgh Pirates game on Tuesday, September 5th at 7:05 p.m. together with tenor John Osborn, soprano Lynette Tapia, and bass Kevin Glavin, as the Pirates take on the Chicago Cubs!
I'm so thrilled that many of my friends from the area will be coming to the game. We have a reserved set of seats with proceeds supporting the Neurofibramatosis Clinic Association (NFCA) for only $40, which includes a ticket and concessions value! If you call the Pirates at 412-325-4410, there may still be some space in or near our section.
As many of you know, my 15 year old niece Marykate was diagnosed with neurofibramatosis at a young age, so this game represents a chance to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart, while cheering on our Pirates!
New Year's Day at the Pittsburgh Steelers WHAT an AMAZING first day of 2017 I had at Heinz Field! It was so much fun performing AULD LANG SYNE to a video of a 'year in past' of the Steelers games! The great band, The Stickers, played with me and the Steelers repeated it again as an encore performance at the end of a fabulous overtime WIN!
I want to thank the ENTIRE Steelers organization for such an AMAZING opportunity and a day I will never forget!
National Anthem at the Steelers vs. Giants Game! On December 4th I had the AWESOME opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Steelers vs. Giants game!! To sing in front of 72,000 screaming Steelers fans is something so amazing it's almost too difficult to put into words!!
I was standing on the 50 yard line waiting for the players to be announced, and I was SO "pumped up", because as the players were being announced and running onto the field, I was cheering them on and then they were coming up and "fist bumping" ME!
I then sang the Anthem immediately after, and the entire stadium got very quiet. As I ended my performance with a high note on "and the home of the brave," the audience erupted in cheers!
To top off an amazing day, the Steelers won AND I got to spend time with my family who joined me for the game!
